An all-new second-generation Hyundai Palisade arrives next year, so the flagship SUV of the Hyundai lineup will primarily remain unchanged for 2025. Introduced just five years ago, the Palisade is very much like it was when it first arrived on the market, offering a spacious, upscale cabin with seating for up to eight passengers. Currently available in seven trim levels, the Palisade continues to feature a 3.8-liter V6 engine and available all-wheel drive.

First generation Hyundai Palisade

When the Palisade arrived for the 2020 model year, it was the most luxurious and largest SUV Hyundai had ever offered in America.

The first-generation Palisade elevated Hyundai's brand as its new flagship SUV, carrying an elegant design and premium interior with advanced technology and high-end materials. In 2023, the Palisade received a styling refresh that added a new, high-resolution 12-inch infotainment display and updated digital instrument cluster. Seating for eight passengers is standard, with the option of upgrading to second-row captain’s chairs.

A 3.8-liter V6 engine with standard front-wheel drive and available HTRAC all-wheel drive powers all first-generation Palisades. Initially available in just three trims, the lineup expanded to seven trims by 2025, including the luxurious and fully loaded Calligraphy as well as the ruggedly styled XRT.

The Palisade has a long feature list with advanced driver-assist equipment like adaptive cruise control, forward collision avoidance, lane keeping assistance, and driver attention warning. All first-generation Palisades come standard with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®, with an available wireless phone charger and Bluetooth® connectivity.
