To manage your account and make payments online, start by setting up a MyCarMax account. Please note that you'll need to verify your email, and it may take up to an hour to get your verification email. You can also download and use the CarMax app to make payments. Once you have a MyCarMax login, you'll need your CarMax Auto Finance account number, listed on the welcome email or letter sent shortly after purchase. Log into MyCarMax, select "Register your account," and follow the instructions. You can contact our Customer Service team at (800) 925-3612 if you need help setting up your account. Access to your online account (and your ability to make online payments) may become restricted based on your account status or payment history (e.g., 75 or more days past due, bankruptcy, or multiple returned payments).

Western Union
You may go to any Western Union location to have your payment sent to us. Call (800) 238-5772 to find the nearest location. Use "CarMax" for the country code, and "Georgia" for the state code. Please include your account number to ensure proper posting. We typically receive and post these payments to your account within one full business day. Our business days are Monday-Friday. Western Union may charge a fee for this service.

MoneyGram® ExpressPayments® service
You can go to any MoneyGram retail agent location to have your payment sent to us. Call 1-800-MoneyGram to find the nearest location. At the agent location, provide the clerk with the following: Receive Code "4645," company name "CarMax," city "Kennesaw," state "GA," and your account number to ensure proper posting. We typically receive and post these payments to your account within one full business day. Our business days are Monday-Friday. MoneyGram may charge a fee for this service.

Please note: We recommend writing your account number on all forms of payment. We also recommend mailing your payment 7 to 10 days before your due date to ensure that we receive it on time.

You can select the first payment date that works best for you. It can be up to 45 days from your contract date. We'll also send you a welcome email or letter with your CarMax Auto Finance account information and monthly payment details.
