5 reasons to buy the 2021 Nissan GT-R

1. Rule the road

Sometimes the term "supercar performance" can just be an exaggeration, but that's not the case with the 2021 Nissan GT-R. The numbers are staggering, up to 600 horsepower available, a slippery .26 coefficient of drag, and 60 mph comes in around three seconds flat (according to the manufacturer, when new). While CarMax doesn't currently sell the Nissan GT-R, you can research these similar models: Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, and BMW M4 GTS.

2. Handcrafted power

Most modern cars are built by robots, but the engine of every GT-R is built by a single craftsman. Each engine even has a plaque with the craftsman's name. So whether you opt for the "base" 3.8L twin-turbo V6 making 565 horsepower, or the upgraded Nismo® version putting out a massive 600 horsepower, you'll know who to personally thank for their incredible work.

3. Premium interior

It won't take much time in your 2021 GT-R to begin to notice that there are tons of premium materials used throughout the interior. Beyond the hand stitching, the dash pad is actually crafted from one hand-selected piece of Nappa® leather. The machined aluminum interior accents complement the carbon fiber details across the cabin to give your GT-R a comfortable, yet purpose-built, cockpit.

4. Driver-focused tech

A video-game-inspired performance screen with five customizable sections comes standard, all controlled by an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Naturally, there is Apple CarPlay® connectivity, as well as satellite radio and integrated navigation. So, whether you're heading out on a long trip or a fun weekend track day with friends, the 2021 GT-R will give you just the right amount of information, right at your fingertips.

5. Nismo upgrades

If the base GT-R isn't enough, there is the super cool optional Nismo version. Sure, the upgrade to an even 600 horsepower is nice, but there is so much more. Extensive use of carbon fiber on the roof, hood, fenders, rear wing, exterior mirrors, and bumpers help to reduce weight, while a Nismo-tuned suspension, wider wheels, and carbon-ceramic brakes ramp up performance. A unique interior and exterior look helps confirm the legendary motoring status of the 2021 Nissan GT-R Nismo.
