Cost to Maintain
Minimal maintenance so far, haven't even had it in for an oil change yet. I love driving past all those high-priced gas stations. I do mostly around home driving, charge at home and have NOT bought any gas for the Volt since I bought it 4 months ago.
Styling
I knew I was looking for a hybrid, and, compared to others, the Chevrolet Volt had a much better design, both inside and out. I have always owned coupes and this is the first 4-door car I have owned. The exterior profile was sleek, sporty and the interior was likewise sleek, without a dashboard console that stuck up like a computer. I also like the center console with a familiar gear shift.
Ride and Handling
The Volt is very responsive, just as I would expect in an electric powered car. And it is also a very comfortable ride.
Visibility
I wish the rearview camera was sharper.
Interior Space
I wish the Volt had those handles in the roof over the doors. In a low-slung car, those overhead handles make it easier to get out.
Fuel Economy
6 months of ownership no vists to the gas station!!!
Cost to Maintain
very little maintenance
Interior Space
Hatchback for anything!
Fuel Economy
The only time you use the gas backup generator is after the electric battery energy is exhausted. This can go on indefinitely and is a great "safety net" for people who want to shift to electric but are concerned about being stranded somewhere with no way to charge the car - you can literally drive this car across the country on gas and it'll get 45 to 50 mpg. I add gas to the tank about every 3 months.
Cabin Noise
When driving on all electric - very smooth and quiet!
Technology and Entertainment
Lots of updated electronics, and I get a lot of use from the Android Auto.

the hybrid battery is great! I used to fill up at least once a week but now it’s about twice per MONTH! They put so much into this economical car! There are so many pros!
Technology and Entertainment
This car packs a punch with heated seats front and back and a heated steering wheel!
Styling
Sleek and stylish!
Technology and Entertainment
It doesn’t always connect my phone correctly, but minor.
Fuel Economy
it’s the perfect amount of charge for me to get to work and back, but can still switch to gas for long trips. I genuinely love the concept of plug in hybrid.
Power
for a hybrid, it’s got great acceleration!
Styling
looks great
Technology and Entertainment
could be a little better but still pretty good
Fuel Economy
45 miles of range in enough for daily commuting on electricity
Ride and Handling
v smooth driving
Styling
not bad but chevy could have done better given that when it came out it had the starting price same as a Tesla Model 3
Fuel Economy
See above
Cost to Maintain
Almost zero maintenance
Power
Fast car if you want it to be
Fuel Economy
Rated at 53 pure electric miles and it often returns more. With a gas motor for a range extender you never have to worry about running out of range.
Cabin Noise
It is very quiet for a car of its size. Not just because of electric mode, but it is very well made and wind noise etc. is low even on the highway.
Visibility
The only complaint I have of the Volt is the large A pillars. You will get used to them, but thankfully the Volt has tech features to help you out.
Interior Space
The Volt does NOT come with a spare from the factory and there isn't an actual space for a spare if you buy one like I did so it takes up a little space in the hatch area.
Dashboard
Love the high integration of screen with everything you would ever want to see as well as phone and navigation screens.
Fuel Economy
On daily trips around town, the car is totally an EV. Longer than 50 miles the engine starts and keeps me moving. Overall this car can get 65miles/gal. in combined gas/EV mode.
Ride and Handling
Has a tight suspension, almost like a German BMW, firm around corners. That go cart feel yet irons out the bumps.
Cabin Noise
A bit more noisy that I'd like. But then it's a much newer car than I've ever had. I think they all are build 'cheaper' now days unless you spend 50K or more.
Seat Comfort
I have the "premier" version, yet it has fairly basic driver seats. No power anything there. Would have liked power tilt and height. But then I understand this car was already to high in cost when it was new due to all the advances in R&D that Chevy incurred designing it. Had to skimp somewhere.
Fuel Economy
I don’t have to use much gas at all
Ride and Handling
the ride is comfy
Styling
there are chrome accents inside that are bent - the only thing I don’t like
