Reliability
This car was extremely reliable, with only very minor problems (like the horn stopped working) in the 12 years I had it. Zero transmission issues, zero engine issues. Always started right up and ran like a champ. My husband wanted to trade it in because it had so many miles and I really, really regret it..
Fuel Economy
This car would seemingly run forever on a tank of gas. I miss that with my new car.
Value
This was the best value car I have ever had. It was a great price brand new, and it cost very very little to maintain and gas up when I had it. I truly regret trading this car in for one a bit bigger with much less miles.
Power
Only thing I would change is that it sometimes took a bit to get up to speed going up hills.
Fuel Economy
32 mpg
Power
In my experience this is the perfect fusion of an economic small car that has the handling and power to stay fun to drive. I’m getting 32 mpg while being able to zip between traffic and park in compact parking spaces around town.
Interior Space
The hatch provides the room I need for school, work, and gym supplies, even the back seat is as roomy as my 07 WRX was.
Cabin Noise
On 17” wheels the cabin can be a bit noisy on wintry pitted roads at speed. I’ve been told moving to 16” wheels does wonders for this so that may be the move in the future.

Power
it is not the most powerful car in the world but it is plenty of power for its price range. Could not be happier with the power and punch of this little car every single day as it always puts a smile on my face!
Braking
Brakes and suspension lean heavily towards sport. This is not a soft plush riding car but the trade off is tremendous grip anytime it’s driven spiritedly.
Cost to Maintain
the best part about this car is how cheap it is to maintain as opposed to other cars within its price range. the car is not overly complicated such as a German car where it is impossible or expensive to repair.
Cabin Noise
Little sound detonation makes for a noisy ride from tires and wind. however, money from ford was not spent on making the car quiet and comfortable, it was spent on performance.
Fuel Economy
When the car is driven in a spirited manor, it can be quite thirsty for fuel. It is also recommended from ford to put premium fuel in the car for optimum performance.
Ride and Handling
It has a very nimble, responsive, sports car like feel, which I enjoy. It may be a bit twitchy for some but after some acclimation it's a non-issue.
Technology and Entertainment
A bit on the basic side, which I like. Traditional keyed ignition, older Sync2 [smaller display] but good sound system and the USB does read my old IPOD nano in addition to a regular USB flash drive.
Seat Comfort
Front seats are awesome
Fuel Economy
Granted this is a daily commuter in heavy, sometimes bumper to bumper traffic, several stop lights, etc, but nevertheless I baby the thing, lots of coasting (manual trans) and am getting around 28mpg average.
Styling
Styling is ok, but it's not unique enough compared to other compacts of the same type
Interior Space
Rear seats are for kids or limited use only. Understandable for a car this size, is what it is.

Cargo Space
Plenty of room in the trunk for groceries
Reliability
It started easily even on the coldest mornings
Power
Sometimes hesitates when starting after being stopped for a red light
Interior Space
Bucket seats are too low, so I have to use a cushion
Dashboard
I can only put in one cd at a time
Ride and Handling
Handles well and very comfortable
Fuel Economy
It's great on gas and tells you how many mpg it is getting and how far to empty.

really good on gas. pretty cheap to fill up with fuel.
Power
pretty quick for a 4 cylinder engine
Visibility
Bright headlights make it easy to see at night. Mirrors have convex and concave to increase visibility behing your vehicle and in your blind spots.
Cost to Maintain
general maintenance gets pricey. spark plugs are pretty expensive and so are brake pads and shoes.
