a headache since purchase 2020 Kia Sedona

Pros

  • Seat Comfort

the seats, as opposed to a domestic minivan, are full seats that can be adjusted and repositioned at will.

  • Cabin Noise

very little cabin noise creates a very quiet relaxing drive

  • Technology and Entertainment

a very nice dashboard infotainment center. android auto is always a nice touch

Cons

  • Cost to Maintain

I've only had this van since November. it is now March and I've already had to lose 2 weeks of work in January because the fuel system was malfunctioning since the day I got it. and now in March I've had to take it back to kia to open a case about the transmission preforming very VERY poorly (violent shaking and sputtering rattling the entire van making for a very uncomfortable and i can imagine, unsafe driving experience) I've already been out of work for a week bc of this transmission issue and likely to be another week out of work for it to be repaired ( luckily under kias basic warranty) I reside in myrtle beach but my job is in Charleston sc. which is why this has forced me out of work. I have no way to pay for a rental bc times are hard and kia didn't have any loaners. very very displeased.

  • Reliability

malfunctioning fuel system at 48k miles. under-performing (possibly faulty) transmission at 59986 miles (currently undergoing repairs at kia under basic warranty coverage) the brake pads when the van was sold to me were already more than half way thru their lifespan. had to replace the front and back brakes after only 2 and half months of use. other than that, when it's driving hownit should, it's an amazing, smooth and relaxing driving experience.

  • Cargo Space

although big and comfy adjustable seats are a plus, it does take away from over cargo space. but, as a young, unmarried man who mainly just uses the van to go to work and to take road trips, it does everything I need it to when it's not broke down... smh
