  Especially the Soul Red Crystal Metallic. I get "nice car!" comments on it almost every time I go out.

  Not the greatest comfort for long rides, and the arm rest (window) is hard on the elbow.

• Technology and Entertainment

  Mazda handicaps the touchscreen by turning it off while driving. You have to use a far less intuitive set of knobs that is much more distracting to use than a touchscreen.

  the newer MX-5s have great curves and lines. It actually looks a lot like one of the BMW convertibles.

  It's a pure driving machine. It corners beautifully. I used to drive go carts after long days at work. Now I drive my Miata, and it's a lot more fun.
