A very special Honda Fit

For people looking for a unique hybrid that comes with a 6 speed manual option and some of the best styling in its class

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: While not the fastest, the car takes off the line very well and due to the balance of the front and rear ends it handles corners confidently.
  • Fuel Economy: EPA states the car gets 37 MPG on average but it isnt too difficult to get 40-45 with a light foot and long coasting stops.
  • Dashboard: One of the flashiest dashboards ive seen and displays a lot of information all at once

Cons

  • Power: 130 horsepower in the end is not that fast and expect other cars to catch up to you after that initial takeoff
  • Interior Space: The US model doesn't come with backseats and trying to squeeze someone back there can get scary if you need to
  • Value: Since it is technically a Honda Fit platform, the cat can cost up to $4-5k more which can be a big deal breaker since the Fit has 5 seats

Happiness Is The Honda CR-Z

Unique design and very well thought out amenities.

Pros

  • Styling: Modern design. Reliably and cost of ownership.
  • Fuel Economy: 39 miles per gallon highway, 36 City
  • Technology and Entertainment: Efficient and makes me feel safe.

Cons

  • Cabin Noise: Distracting sometimes
  • Interior Space: A 2 seater, I knew that when I bought it. I have a large Honda Accord if I want a bigger ride.

Fun without the speeding tickets.

The CR-Z is a fun little car that is great for commuting or just bombing around town. It looks great, too.

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: Great handling little runabout.
  • Styling: This car looks faster than it is ... a plus. I saw a couple taking pictures of my CR-z in the parking lot of Costco! They didn't realize it was my car as we passed each other. They were talking about how cool they thought it was.
  • Cargo Space: Like all good hatchbacks, the CR-z's cargo capacity is way above it's pay grade.

Cons

  • Visibility: Rear visibility is ... well there is no rear visibility, but you get use to it.
  • Ride and Handling: I wouldn't recommend the CR-z for extended road trips. The ride can be a bit harsh.
  • Power: I wanted a manual transmission but couldn't find a car with a stick and less than 75K miles so when this car appeared near me I snapped it up. I'm still not use to the CVT but if I don't concentrate on it, the car does fine particularly in "sport" mode.

Which Honda CR-Z gets the best gas mileage (mpg)?

The most fuel-efficient Honda CR-Z is the 2013 Honda CR-Z Base Hybrid which gets 36 MPG City and 39 MPG Highway.

It is important to remember factors such as driving style, weather conditions, and the use of features such as Eco mode can impact fuel efficiency. Fuel economy figures are based on EPA estimates for when vehicle sold as new. Fuel economy may vary for reasons like driving conditions and vehicle history. Unless specified, figures are for vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission. See fueleconomy.gov.
