It's incredibly easy to drive. Very good turning radius, responsive but not-over-sensitive steering, good visibility due to being higher off the ground than most compact cars. Lots of room in the back...

Pros

Ride and Handling: I LOVE its turning radius, much smaller than my Honda Fit's was, and the suspension handles Santa Fe potholes much better.
Visibility: The visibility is way better than a standard sedan or hatchback because it's higher off the ground, closer to an SUV's height. I've driven ordinary hatchbacks and an SUV and I really love the higher driver's seat viewpoint.
Power: Definitely much more power than my Honda Fit, which was underpowered at sea level and did not love being transported to 7000+ feet of altitude, to the point where I did not feel safe driving it on some New Mexico roads because I couldn't achieve and maintain a safe and consistent speed because the car simply didn't have the power.

Cons

Technology and Entertainment: Too much interactive distracting stuff on the main console screen (you can turn the display off but you have to deliberately choose to).
Dashboard: I don't need the big multifunction touch-screen (would prefer an old-fashioned console with buttons to control the sound system, etc).
Power: I really am not a fan of the feature where the engine shuts itself off while the car is stopped and starts again the second you take your foot off the brake. I am not at all confident that if I needed to have the car jumpstarted that it wouldn't do this, as if I were driving a manual transmission and stalled it, and immediately need another jumpstart because I hadn't driven it far enough to build up a battery charge. (I previously owned a manual 2020 Soul which needed a new battery after I'd owned it for 3 months, so am not super sanguine about its battery life). I would much rather the engine just stay on when I switch it on and cut off when I tell it to, but I don't know if there's a way to set it to not do this.
