Great car!

PROS
Fuel Economy

Honda Civic MPG in a much larger vehicle.

Ride and Handling

I'll include comfort in this too. It's quiet, smooth, and so comfortable!

CONS
Power

It doesn't have the power of the standard 6-cyl ICE, but being a hybrid, this is an known trade-off.

Technology and Entertainment

The only "ding" I'd give it is the lack of a simple button to disable the AC. If you just want it to blow outside air - what used to be called "vent" - that takes some fiddling with the climate controls.

Proven hybrid tech in a luxury wrapper

PROS
Fuel Economy

The car gets 36-40 MPG consistently, and that's in Sport mode every time (to tighten up the steering response).

Cabin Noise

Wind and road noise are well controlled, which contributes to reduced fatigue on long trips.

Cost to Maintain

While import parts can cost a premium, the Toyota hybrid drivetrain has a long and proven record of being bulletproof. No belts to break or change, the "transmission" has, I think, about a dozen moving parts, and the regen brake system means pads just might last the life of the rest of the vehicle.

CONS
Power

It's a hybrid, not a Coyote or an LS. That being said, it will actually get out of its own way surprisingly well, as long as one plans to make a pass accounting for the lag time before the electric motor kicks in.

Technology and Entertainment

I have no problems with the form or function of the infotainment system. What does concern me is the replacement cost if a component goes south: $5000-9000, depending on the module. Get the MaxCare coverage.

so luxurious

PROS
Cabin Noise

it’s as though you are separate from the all the drama and mayhem of the world.

Interior Space

so elegant and graceful — a beautiful environment

Ride and Handling

like riding on a cloud

CONS
Technology and Entertainment
Cargo Space

liked my Honda Accord’s trunk better

Cost to Maintain

scares me ... yet to find out
