My soulmate

It is small, agile, and easy to modify (if you want to). It's so versatile, whether you want to take it for a small joyride while weaving in between traffic, or if you want to just cruise, it's the pe...

Safe, affordable, and fun to drive.

It’s cheap to maintain, it’s a reliable sports car, it looks beautiful, all around it’s a great daily driver and a fun and relatively easy car to work on especially for beginners.

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: It goes around corners and turns perfectly. I never have handling issues. It’s the best and most perfectly balanced car for fun drives and for track. The car is very diverse as well. Track or just regular commuting, this car can do both.
  • Value: Toyota is a great company that values its cars and makes sure everything holds it. The value in this car really sticks with it. The price you pay is relatively low and you get a really great car out of it.
  • Cargo Space: For a two door coupe, the 86 has a lot of space. My boyfriend and i have made many road trips in the car. We also have two dogs. We have an 80lbs dog and a 20lbs dog. When we put the back seats down the both of them lay back there very comfortably. I’m almost positive if we had two larger dogs instead of a big one and a little one, we could still fit both of the big dogs back there. My boyfriend has also put a child in a child’s seat in the back seats ver comfortably for about two years. The car is very versatile.

Cons

  • Power: Lacks power, but the handling really makes up for it. The handling is considered on par with a Porsche 911.
  • Seat Comfort: I personally love bucket seats and am very comfortable in them, but if you are used to the regular kind of car seats, it’s definitely an adjustment.
  • Cabin Noise: Cabin noise is really not that bad, I just had to pick another con for this review. I’m sure there are quieter cars than this one, but the cabin noise really isn’t a bother and it’s really that loud. I barely hear anything when driving.

Love this Car!

The Toyota 86 is a fun car to drive on a daily basis or for a weekend long drive!

Pros

  • Seat Comfort: the seats are meant to fit around you!
  • Fuel Economy: Great fuel economy!

Cons

  • Cabin Noise: It is somewhat noisy, but is also a car meant to be driven at high rpms
