Solid truck with some issues.

reliable and affordable. go anywhere and highly customizable

Pros

  • Reliability: It's a Toyota. Not much more to say
  • Cost to Maintain: DIY oil changes are inexpensive. CarMax did not offer this service at time of purchase
  • Technology and Entertainment: four wheel drive and audio systems are high quality.

Cons

  • Interior Space: Downsizing from a Ford F250 took some getting used to.
  • Cargo Space: The size of the bed caused some adjustments when hauling items
  • Power: almost no power, which was expected. the OEM off-road tires were replaced with highway tires which is not appropriate for an off-road truck.

Its the Truck I've always wanted

I love the quality of a Tacoma. It feels like it will run forever.

Pros

  • Interior Space: Bigger inside than I thought an extended cab would be.
  • Braking: I love how easily it brakes
  • Weather Versatility: With high water being an issue, its great to be able to pass through flooded streets.

Cons

  • Cabin Noise: Its noisier than a sedan.
  • Fuel Economy: But I don't expect a truck to have as great fuel economy as a smaller car.

Love it!

It's a great truck. Runs smooth and such a fun drive. Love the slapstick feature. It's a truck so has mileage isn't the best but I work from home so that's not my biggest concern.

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: Smooth driving.
  • Reliability: Super dependable
  • Value: Great price

Cons

  • Cabin Noise: Trucks always are a bit louder.
  • Fuel Economy: Not the best gas mileage
