perfect car for our family of 5. 3rd row seating when you need it. adjustable leg room on 2nd row. crazy panoramic sunroof. the wife loves it.

Pros

  • Value: great deal for the money.

I love this car!

it’s a perfect size! has a third row of I need it but folded down gives me so much trunk room! I love how it handles in all weather conditions. I will definitely get another when it’s time to trade th...

Wonderful midsize SUV

Handles like a sedan but has the storage and space of a smaller SUV. Ton of cargo room, nice upgraded features, spectacular price for a reliable vehicle.

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: The Tiguan handles very similarly to my midsize sedan but is very smooth. It grips corners and takes straightaways head on.
  • Interior Space: Despite it being a compact to midsize SUV, it has a ton of space! I’m 5’11 and don’t even have to push my seat all the way back. Even so, there’s a ton of room in the back and I’ve got the model with the 3rd row.
  • Technology and Entertainment: Coming from an entry level sedan this car is the Taj Mahal. Apple CarPlay, Start/Stop function, overhead interior night lighting within the panoramic sunroof, an absolutely beautiful car. The stereo is incredible, but still quiet outside of the vehicle.

Cons

  • Fuel Economy: Coming from a sedan, I had hoped for a midsize SUV with a little better fuel economy. It is better than most, usually garnering 22-26mpg depending on how much time I spend on the highway.
  • Braking: Volkswagen takes some getting used to when it comes to gas and break. They are very touchy on the gas and break pedals, despite my model being a 2018. I think that has to do with the way the pedals are connected but either way, with some adjustment and relearning, its become natural.
  • Cargo Space: The cargo space is phenomenal unless you have the 3rd row up: then you’ve got about 6in width of space between the back of the seat and the trunk door. I got a cargo organizer and it’s been great, but if you want to haul a lot, you won’t be able to have that 3rd row up.
