All Acura RDX years

What is new for the 2015 Acura RDX?

  • RDX trims have been upgraded with Power Hatch/Deck Lid and Navigation System as standard equipment this year.

5 reasons to buy the 2015 Acura RDX

1. Smooth V6 power

The 2015 Acura RDX features a standard 3.5L V6 engine that pumps out 273 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque through a six-speed automatic transmission and out to the front wheels — or all four wheels with optional all-wheel drive. This powertrain delivers power smoothly, giving it an even more premium feel. This V6 engine also delivers respectable EPA-estimated fuel economy numbers of 20 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined with front-wheel drive.

If you opt for all-wheel drive, these EPA-estimate fuel economy numbers fall to 19 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined.

2. Everyone and their cargo comes along

The 2015 Acura RDX’s cabin is well thought out, offering plenty of room for the typical family. It has space for five passengers, and its 38.3 inches of rear seat legroom is plenty for young children, teens, and even adults. So, no matter who you carpool with, they will ride comfortably. Plus, with 26.1 cu-ft of cargo space with the rear seats upright and 61.3 cu-ft with them folded, the RDX can handle everything from a week’s worth of groceries to all the kiddos’ sports equipment without issue.

3. Tons of luxurious features

The 2015 Acura RDX doesn’t disappoint with its long list of standard equipment. This list includes desirable features, such as dual-zone climate control, perforated leather seating, SiriusXM® satellite radio, keyless entry with push-button ignition, a multi-view rearview camera, and so much more. If you want even more features, look out for the available Technology Package, which tosses in navigation with real-time weather and traffic, a 410-watt audio system, voice recognition, a power liftgate, and more.

4. Soft-touch interior materials

Luxury SUVs should encapsulate you in upscale looks and materials inside and out. The 2015 Acura RDX is no stranger to this with its premium leather upholstery and other upscale materials. However, it takes the luxury a step further with soft-touch panels throughout, keeping the hard plastics to a minimum.

5. Great handling and comfort

If you compare it to other luxury SUVs, the 2015 Acura RDX is closer to the performance side than its competition. That said, Acura worked hard to strike a delicate balance between handling and ride comfort. With this healthy balance, you can enjoy a twisty mountain road just as much as you enjoy a soft, pillowy ride down the interstate on your daily commute.
