First generation Dodge Dart
When Dodge revived the legendary Dart name on a compact sedan in 2013, the small, efficient car was based on an Alfa Romeo hatchback as one of the first fruits of the brand’s Fiat ownership. Relatively large compared to other compact sedans, the Dart stood out with Dodge styling cues and a roomy cabin. Multiple trims were available, and while base-level trims came with almost none of the expected standard features, Dodge offered the top-level GT with a sportier interior and upgraded suspension and steering.
Dodge offered the Dart with three engine options. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine was standard (except for the GT), while a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine produced the same power but delivered up to 32 mpg combined in the Dart Aero.
The sportier GT came standard with a more powerful 2.4-liter engine. A six-speed manual gearbox was standard with all three engines, but Dodge also offered a six-speed automatic.Model highlights
