5 reasons to buy the 2020 GMC Sierra 2500

1. Powerful engine options

If you love to feel the might of a large engine, the 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 can deliver. The truck comes standard with a 401-hp 6.6L V8 that produces 464 lb-ft of torque. Or, you can opt for the available turbo-diesel. That 6.6L V8 engine produces 445 hp and 910 lb-ft of torque. With either option, you'll feel the power any time you accelerate, tow, or haul.

2. Suburb towing capacity

Whether you're gearing up for a cross-country trip with your fifth wheel, hauling your barrel horses to competition, or bringing small machinery to job sites, the 2022 GMC Sierra is up for the task. The standard 401-hp V8 can tow up to an estimated 24,000 pounds when properly equipped.

The optional 445-hp turbo diesel can up to 26,000 pounds as a regular or double cab, and 27,000 pounds as a crew cab when properly equipped.

3. Tech-supported towing

Need support on challenging trailer maneuvers? The 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 can help set your mind at ease, thanks to an array of available technology to help make towing easy. The available ProGrade Trailering system offers 15 camera views, including one that allows you to see "through" the trailer, helping you back up perfectly on the first try. The available iN∙Command® control system lets you monitor temperature, tire pressure, and more in your trailer, if it's equipped.

4. Unique tailgate

When you're on the job, crawling in and out of the truck bed can eat up valuable time. The GMC MultiPro tailgate, available on all trims of the 2020 GMC Sierra 2500, aims to make your workday a bit easier. The tailgate can be transformed into six different configurations, including a workbench. It can be used to stop materials and tools from sliding around and can be folded down for easier access to the bed.

5. Upscale interior

After a long day of work or fun in the sun, you want to be comfortable on your ride home. The 2020 GMC Sierra makes that easy. The high-end Denali trim offers lots of luxury touches, like premium leather seating and wood trim. Even with the SLT trim, you'll have creature comforts including leather-appointed seats, heated front seats and steering wheel, and remote start functionality through the key that's perfect for keeping your truck warm or cool before you get in.
