Historically, the Toyota Land Cruiser has always had a strong reputation for its off-road capabilities, and the 2015 iteration more than lives up to that. All-terrain features such as a locking center differential, skid plates, and a two-speed transfer case are all included as standard, as are a wealth of off-road focused systems to help you navigate tricky surfaces. These include the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, Multi-Terrain Select, hill-start assist, and Off-Road Turn Assist.

The 2015 Land Cruiser has a 5.7L V8, producing a stout 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque. That’s ideal power for highway cruising and traversing rough terrain. Should you want to bring a trailer with you on your next epic road trip, the 2015 Land Cruiser can also achieve a maximum estimated towing capacity of 8,200 lbs when properly equipped.

5. Comfortable on-road ride 

As rugged and tough as the 2015 Land Cruiser can be off-road, it’s also supremely smooth and comfortable on-road. The standard six-speed automatic transmission ensures steady power delivery, and cabin noise is kept to a minimum unless you really open the taps on the engine.
