Ride and Handling
I have owned Ford Explorer’s since they first came out with the model. I absolutely love the trim details on my used 2020 model. There are so many safety and luxury features. The car has great pick up, solid, smooth drive, and looks amazing.
Interior Space
I love the interior space and two bucket seats in the middle. I love the cargo space for my dogs and yet the option for using a third row. The interior is roomy, the driver seat has many options for the driver to get comfortable. The seat has so many options, steering wheel pull out, up or down for your personal comfort. There is even massaging seats for the front and of course, the best part is cooling or heating front seats.
Power
The car has great power and would have no trouble towing.
Fuel Economy
My only complaint is the gas mileage, however, it’s slightly better than my former year but I knew that going in.
Reliability
I had an exhaust leak and the flex pipe was worn at 34k miles! Part of the repair was covered under my extended warranty but the other was not. This should not have happened at 34,000 miles!
Ride and Handling
Due to the performance model, it is a bit noisy in the cabin but mostly on surface streets. It has a smooth, quiet ride on the freeway and handles great. I am very pleased with this car.
Interior Space
Needed a SUV that could fit the grandkids and their dogs comfortably on trips.
Technology and Entertainment
The Explorer had the safety features that I was looking for in a SUV.
Styling
This is my second Explorer. I have really liked the overall design of the vehicle over the years.
Fuel Economy
The Explorer likes the open road. The gas mileage is actually pretty good, I am averaging about 24 to 25 miles per gallon. However, in every day commuting in Econo mode the milage drops to about 17 to 18.
Ride and Handling
Comfortable ride and smooth handling

Great power with 300 hp

Interior Space
The seats are all comfy. We have heated and cooled seats up front and the kids have heated seats in the middle row.
Technology and Entertainment
I love having apple care play. Adaptive cruise control is amazing. There are a lot of places to plug in and charge your device as well.
Value
Domestic car prices with European car amenities. The eco boost options are great for saving us in fuel prices. it’s a 4 cylinder with a turbo, it can accelerate just like a V6.
Cabin Noise
It is not as quiet as a luxury car, but the noise isn’t terrible.
Power
Gets you where you need to go!
Interior Space
Seating for 7, and still looks sporty!
Styling
Can't go wrong with any color, has a sporty look to it.
Cost to Maintain
Front camera somehow got chipped by a rock, unfortunately was quoted about $700 to replace it. We were able to do it ourselves for about $200 for camera about 2 hours of labor.
Reliability
This is a 2020 model vehicle and physical parts of the vehicle seem cheap. For example, the paint on the window buttons stripping away.
