awesome 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime Plug-In

Pros

  • Fuel Economy

55 miles of electric driving. For running errands I never use gas. Long trips, engage hybrid. Best combination available today.

  • Power

    Hybrid or EV, good acceleration.

  • Styling

Nicely styled in pearl white with black accents.

Cons

Best PHEV on the market 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime Plug-In

    Pros

    • Fuel Economy

Since I don't typically drive more than 40 miles in a day, I can just drive on the EV battery almost indefinitely. And if I'm taking a longer roadtrip, I can get 600 miles in hybrid mode with a full tank and full battery.

    • Power

In sport mode, you can make the wheels squeal. It can be really fast.

    • Interior Space

Plenty of interior space for this crossover / compact SUV segment. Also very usable thanks to having a boxy shape.

    Cons

    • Technology and Entertainment

The infotainment for Toyota has long been an afterthought

Love this car! Hardly ever put in gas 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime Plug-In

    Pros

    • Fuel Economy

I can go 48 Miles on one charge. But easy to hit road and go 1000 miles on gas

    • Cabin Noise

Super quiet. Rides like a caddy

    • Styling

Great looking vehicle. Received multiple compliments on looks

    Cons

    • Interior Space

A little small in back with batteries on bottom of vehicle, but it works for me

    • Seat Comfort

A little stiff at times, but it works

    • Dashboard

Gages are not luxury feeling, but I have all I need

    A great car. 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime Plug-In

    Pros

    • Seat Comfort

drives well, and is similar to my previous lexus RX 350, has seat warmers, and blind side warning lights.

    Cons

    • Cabin Noise

noise is not too bad, but it would be nice to have it quieter.

    What a Car 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime Plug-In

    Pros

    • Fuel Economy

I simply do not burn gas unless I go on a long trip range 600 miles on a full tank.

    • Ride and Handling

I've put 3000 miles on it and love the ride as it is so smooth.

    Cons

    • Value

I bought it used as it had 2500 miles on it and paid over MSRP by a few thousand dollars. It is worth more than I paid for it.

    • Cargo Space

Not great cargo space in the back of the vehicle.

    RAV4 review 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime Plug-In

    Pros

    • Fuel Economy

with the 44 range on the battery, i’ve rarely had to fill up my tank. upgrading from a prius to a rav4 was kind of scary because i was concerned i’d have to pay for more gas, but topping off my tank on the rav4, costs the same (sometimes less) than the prius. when driving electric, the car will recharge itself while i’m driving downhill, so i normally get more than 44 miles driving EV.

    • Weather Versatility

i wasn’t really sure how the tires would hold up on snowy/icy roads in mammoth, but the traction was surprisingly spectacular.

    Cons

    • Technology and Entertainment

sometimes apple carplay won’t work and i’ll have to unplug and replug my phone in to get it to work. it’s only happened 3 times, but i’ve also had to pull off to the side and turn my car off for it to restart and connect.

    Great car. 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime Plug-In

    Pros

    • Fuel Economy

Averaging over 200 miles per gallon!

    • Ride and Handling

Love the smooth ride when it is on electric power. Almost as good on hybrid power.

    Cons

    • Interior Space

The large screen has a horrible glare when the sun hits it in the afternoon. I have to hold up my hand to block it out.

    • Cargo Space

It has less cargo space due to the space the batteries take up. But I don't really need a lot of space.
