Pros

• Reliability

  Anyone that knows anything about cars/trucks knows that Toyota is king when it comes to reliability.

• Ride and Handling

  It’s a comfortable ride for commuting and I can park anywhere a car would. It’s off road capable and gets small jobs done with no problem.

• Cost to Maintain

  Tacomas are everywhere and are affordable to maintain and repair.

Cons

• Cargo Space

  Not a deal breaker for me because of what my requirements are but I can see how its a problem for some people. I don’t have a need for a ton of cargo space.

• Fuel Economy

  I feel like the fuel economy could be better but I already knew I wasn’t going to see the best numbers beforehand. Researching ahead of time does wonders.

• Seat Comfort

  I’m 5’9” and don’t have a complaint with the seat comfort but it’s a common complaint amongst taller owners. Seat risers are a modification that will help with this so it’s not really a con.

  I'm brand loyal to Toyota, they are reliable and easy to maintain. This truck is no different.

• Power

  it’ll go from 0 to 60 in about three minutes but once you hit 60 and it takes forever to get up to 70 or 75. It gets very good gas mileage at 68 and 72 were not so much good gas mileage anything over or anything less

• Reliability

  it’s a Toyota I it’ll run through anything no matter what but it’s not good for hauling anything more than 3000 pounds

  it handles like a sports car

  being somewhat basic model, it doesn’t have a good solid front grill or good lights when it comes down to fog lights and stuff

  I added step rails and the holes needed were already in place - very nice!!

• Cabin Noise

  Rear doors could use a better gasket. As sometimes after closing the doors the cabin is quiet and others you hear wind from the rear doors.

  I do handyman work on the side and was concerned about the 5.5 foot bed. But it has worked out fine. I use a camper top with it.

  Usually there's just two of us riding, but there is room for four comfortably and five is ok.

  The only thing that I don't like is the jinky divider inside the glove box. It keeps falling out.

  The entertainment system is great ,sound has JBL speakers system. the only thing I don't like is I have a lifetime subscription to Sirius Radio and I can not have it set up on my screen panel with my other apps I have to plug in my cell phone to get it on Bluetooth app!!!!

  Toyota Tacoma is very reliable and is rated high on Consumer Reports for Accidents safety and maintenance

• Seat Comfort

  Front seats are not comfortable and DRIVERS SIDE SLOPES DOWN TOO DEEPLY I MYSELF BEING A WOMEN WHO HAS A SMALL BUTT !!!! I have to set on a 2 inch pillow to see over the steering wheel even after the seat is fully adjusted up manually !!!!! All these Tacoma's should be recalled and the driver's seat should be electric and adjustable for safety reasons, my opinion all driver's seats by LAW SHOULD HAVE TO BE ELECTRIC IN EVERY AUTOMOBILE !!!!! SOLD IN THE UNITED STATES 🇺🇸 🇺🇲

• Technology and Entertainment

  Technology the Toyota Tacoma 4X4's should all have better safety Bumper Dots and there should be some on both right and left sides of truck so when the driver is parking you know how close you are to curbs and objects, but the ones in the bumpers pop out often and are difficult to push back in to place !!!!

• Cabin Noise

  It's not as much noise as it is , the amount of water that gets in between the 4 doors when going to a car wash because the rubber black door seal gets water past it causing water on door jams !!!!!!
