The 2018 Ford Escape balances responsive handling and fuel economy, but experiences mixed feedback. Customers praise its handling, interior comfort, and technology, while cabin noise and reliability issues with the engine and transmission are common themes. A good option for tech-oriented buyers who prioritize a comfortable ride, but fuel efficiency disappoints some drivers.
The height of the space is so much more than a trunk can provide and there is an attachment hood that can be affixed and brought forward to conceal whatever might be place in the cargo area and hidden from sight for items that do not require the height allowed.
Sharp exterior for an SUV. Very sporty
This is our first time owning a car with a backup camera. Also, the dashboard is very well lit and provides great features about the car and tools to use!
Being a 4-cylinder, this SUV doesn't feel as "solid" of a vehicle as our 6-cylinder did. We can feel the difference in our traveling.
This is the part we are unsure of. It's a 2018, one owner with less than 17,000 miles so it really has not had the milage put on the car to test its reliability. A little cautious and leery about what I have read about the 2018 Ford Escape regarding transmission fluid.
City miles does not seem to be the best. Seems like when we fill the car up it's time to fill up again. Doesn't seem to do as well in the city as our previous vehicles.
the mileage around town is 18 to 20 mpg.
a little small if you have a family.
Works nicely with Apple Carplay for music and navigation while also charging; remote start and lock/unlock from the Ford app is also handy.
Great seats - even as a big tall guy with back problems it's comfortable enough I can sit there for ages.
The reversing camera, blindspot and cross-traffic warnings make it safer and easier to maneuver at every step.
There's a little turbo lag initially on the 2.0 Ecoboost - I do wish I'd gone for a hybrid version with the electric motor to offset that.
