Great car so far. I'm generally a techy person, and this thing has everything I wanted and more. The only main (non-dealbreaker) item that I would've loved to have is remote start, but I can always add it later if I want. It really has everything else. And it drives amazingly. The Mazda team really know how to build 'em. For those considering buying a CX-5, the only thing I'd mention, as far as tech-related items, is that the main infotainment system (the screen and buttons) are designed a bit differently than many other cars. The screen is a touchscreen and it works with Apple Carplay and Android Auto (what I use), but if you drive more than about 10mph the touch-capability automatically shuts off as a safety feature (I've also found that Android Auto doesn't seem to be touch-capable at all). I've actually seen videos online of people confused thinking it's broken. However, the Mazda team have designed a large knob/joystick in the center console with a few extra buttons surrounding it that work extremely well for getting around the screen's interface. There's a slight learning curve at first, but it's really not very difficult to get used to it, and it can be much safer to use than reaching up to the screen, as it sits near where your hand would normally rest, and you don't necessarily need to look as much at the screen once you start get the feel for it and know your way around the UI. I personally really like the way they designed it, but some people may not like it. Just full disclosure. My two cents is: if you can take the time to learn the knob's features and get used to using it, it really can be just as quick, if not quicker, than using the touchscreen on any other car. And again, I find that I don't necessarily need to look at the screen quite as much, and it's easier for me to know exactly where I'm clicking on the screen versus tapping, because sometimes that perfectly-timed bump in the road can cause you to tap the wrong place on the screen and slow you down (if you know what I mean) and having the touch feedback from the knob clicking and snapping when I use it feels so much better than no feedback on the touchscreen. Again, I love this car. It works so well for me. It has everything I need, from AWD and snappy performance to adaptive cruise control and automatic high-beams. It's amazing. Highly recommend Mazda for anyone!

Pros

Ride and Handling: Super smooth, drives like a sports car.
Technology and Entertainment: Tons of tech options: adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist, Android Auto & Apple Carplay compatible, Automatic high-beam headlights and automatic wipers, and more.
Power: Very snappy performance and great cornering control.

Cons

Cost to Maintain: Can be a bit expensive, depending on the maintenance.
Fuel Economy: Only because I came from a hybrid, the average fuel economy is not as good, but still decent.
Dashboard: The only issue I've had is when gas is low, the dash notification is completely silent and just a little too subtle. I've caught myself a couple of times very low on gas and have almost been stranded. Thankfully haven't been yet though. It can be a little annoying.
