2022 Audi S5 Sportback review

1. Amazing performance 

Given the robust muscle that’s under its hood, it makes sense to start this list with the 2022 Audi S5 Sportback’s engine. It comes with a turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine that produces a mighty 349 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard. This is an athletic, dynamic powertrain that results in excellent performance. The 2022 S5 Sportback accelerates quickly, going from zero to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds, turns corners confidently, and has precise handling for a comfortable ride even at high speeds. 

2. Refined and roomy interior 

Not only does it drive well, but the 2022 Audi S5 Sportback also offers an enjoyable experience for all passengers. It comes with a spacious cabin with nice materials and comfortable seats. There is standard carbon-fiber interior trim, along with a combination of leather and faux suede for the upholstery. Front passengers get 37.8 cu-ft of headroom and 41.3 cu-ft of legroom, with rear head and legroom measuring 37 inches and 35.1 inches, respectively. For added convenience, there are the heated, 12-way power-adjustable front seats, as well as tri-zone automatic climate control. 

3. Ample room for cargo 

In addition to the spacious cabin, the 2022 Audi S5 Sportback offers plenty of room for cargo. Although utility is not the primary function of these types of sporty cars, the Sportback still fairs well in this department, with a large trunk and a high overall cargo volume. It comes standard with a 10-1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay^® and Android Auto^™ integration, along with Bluetooth^® connectivity and a ten-speaker stereo system. Other standard features include a seven-inch driver information system and built-in navigation. 

5. Driver-assistance systems 

The 2022 Audi S5 Sportback also comes standard with several driver-assistance systems allowing for more confident driving. They include systems that are designed to prevent an imminent collision with the vehicle ahead of you, such as the forward-collision warning and forward automatic emergency braking. Additionally, there is pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights.
