2020 Audi TT offers all-wheel-drive capability in a small package
As a small sport performance coupe or convertible, the 2020 Audi TT is ridiculously fun. This is the type of vehicle you’ll want to drive everywhere you can, from short trips to the store to long drives down the coast.
Boasting excellent handling, a generous one-size-fits-all standard features set, and high-quality materials, the TT has a lot to offer in a compact bundle of joy. It’s powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and equipped with all-wheel drive. An optional S Competition Line package adds a sport-tuned suspension to the mix.
Both body styles boast a plethora of features. Choosing the convertible option — Audi calls it a Roadster — means a power-folding fabric roof and a power-deployable wind blocker are included, replacing the back seat available in the coupe. Look for vehicles equipped with the Technology package to get access to smartphone connectivity, built-in navigation, and an upgraded audio system.

What We Like
Interior: Audi exhibits its mastery of chic interior spaces in the TT, leaving no corner untucked in its perfectionist finishing. The cabin of the TT is elegant and sleek, emphasizing minimalist design. Eight-way power-adjustable sport seats are standard, as are leather and faux suede. Circular vents evoke the golden age of aviation, the shifter fits nicely into the right hand, and the flat-bottom steering wheel adds a touch of racing style.
Technology: A nine-speaker sound system is included with the 2020 TT along with two illuminated USB ports and Bluetooth® connectivity. An optional Technology package bundles Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, a built-in navigation system, Audi Connect® telematics, remote monitoring and control, and a 12-speaker premium audio system. Most functions are controlled by the knob mounted on the center console, each twist of the knob displaying as a function on the digital gauge cluster in front of the driver.
Driving: Piloting a TT is delightful, with 220 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque at the ready to blast off. The TT is amply powered, and layering on the upscale interior makes for a very nice experience, indeed.
What Needs Improvement
Utility: Let’s be honest: No one buys a TT for the trunk space. That said, choosing a TT Roadster means a measly 7.5 cubic feet of cargo room, barely enough to fit a smallish carry-on bag. The TT Coupe ups the ante to 12 cubic feet and you can stow two golf bags, but only by folding the minuscule rear seat.
