2015 Fiat 500e review

1. All-electric range 

With an EPA-estimated range of 87 miles on a full charge, this is an EV that’s suited to daily driving in the city.

 That’s more than enough miles to handle your daily commute or to-do list of errands. When you need to, you can easily charge up at home or at a dedicated public charger. On a 240-volt outlet, you’ll be able to charge back up to full in less than four hours. 

2. Good looks 

The retro good looks of the Fiat 500 can’t be denied. The 2015 500e features an aerodynamic body that retains the charm of the iconic 500. You’ll also get a rear spoiler and special aerodynamic wheels. Keep an eye out for the range of bright colors to further make the 500e stand out. The orange Electrico Arancione is a stand-out option and can be found with a two-tone interior that also features orange detailing. 

3. Surprisingly spacious 

In the trunk, you’ll find 7 cu-ft of space but that opens up to 26.3 cu-ft with the rear seats folded. That’s enough for luggage on a romantic week away or even for a small haul from the DIY store. Front seat passengers get 40.7 inches of legroom, which is generous for a small car. In the back, kids will be comfortable with 27.6 inches of legroom, but it's not particularly practical for adults. 

4. Plenty of features 

As standard, you’ll get some great features such as cruise control, heated front seats, leatherette upholstery, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Even though the 2015 500e is small, you’ll still appreciate the standard parking sensors when backing into a narrow space. For longer drives, the standard Bluetooth^® integration keeps you connected. 

5. Good handling 

The short wheelbase makes the 2015 Fiat 500e incredibly agile. It’s easy to maneuver through narrow city streets as you navigate to your next coffee shop appointment — either with your laptop or to meet friends. The electric powertrain might not break any records for speed but it’ll do a respectable zero to 60 in 9.5 seconds.
