2024 Genesis GV80 review

1. Two engine choices 

As you browse the 2024 Genesis GV80 you'll discover two engine options. First up, the turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder with 300 hp sips fuel. This engine gets an EPA-estimated 22 mpg city/highway combined.

Second, a more powerful turbocharged 3.5L V6 with 375 hp produces zippy acceleration. This engine gets an EPA-estimated 20 mpg city/highway combined. Both engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard. 

2. Three seating options 

If you love the feel of driving an SUV and want all the luxuries the 2024 Genesis GV80 has to offer, but don't have many passengers, you have options. The Prestige Signature trim with the V6 engine features captain's chairs in the second row, making this a four-passenger ride. The Advanced trim with the V6 engine comes with power-folding third-row seating, so the vehicle can accommodate up to seven passengers. All the other trims and configurations seat five people in two rows. 

3. Loaded base trim 

It's not every day that you find a base trim SUV with top-tier features as standard like a navigation system and wireless device charging pad. But, the 2024 Genesis GV80 delivers. Other features on the Standard trim with the four-cylinder engine include a hands-free liftgate, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a 14.5-inch touchscreen, a 12-speaker sound system, and Apple CarPlay®/Android Auto™ connectivity. If you bump up one trim to the Advanced (with the four-cylinder engine), you gain a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, and a 21-speaker sound system. 

4. Helpful driving features 

If you're transitioning from a sedan to an SUV, it can take time to get used to driving a larger vehicle. The 2024 Genesis GV80 has several driver-assist features to make the change easier for you. Standard features on all trims include adaptive cruise control, front/rear parking sensors, blind-spot warning/intervention, and a forward collision warning with an automatic braking system. If you opt for an Advanced trim (with the four-cylinder engine) you also get an automated parking system that guides the vehicle into parking spaces. 

5. Top-tier features 

The 2024 Genesis GV80 comes with noteworthy premium features on the upper trim levels. The Prestige Signature trim (with the V6) comes with second-row wireless phone charging and heat/ventilated captain's chairs with power adjustments in the second row. The Prestige trim (with the V6) offers soft-closing doors (no more slammed doors from the kids!), power rear-side window shades, and power-adjustable outboard seats (with heat and ventilation) in the second row.
