If having a spacious cabin is important to you, the 2023 GMC Yukon has you covered. Depending on what configuration you choose, there's space for up to seven, eight, or even nine passengers inside, and all three rows of seats provide generous legroom to stretch out, with 44.5 inches in the front row and 42 inches in the second row. And with 25.5 cu-ft of cargo volume available in the trunk, there's more than enough room for all your passengers and their luggage too.
The 2023 GMC Yukon offers a choice of three engines, all packing plenty of power. Base SLE, SLT, and AT4 models are equipped with a 5.3L V8 engine, producing 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The Denali trim offers a 6.2L V8 engine, boosting output up to 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. And finally, a 3L turbocharged six-cylinder diesel engine is available on SLE, SLT, and Denali trims. This engine not only boasts 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque but also manages to achieve a very impressive EPA-estimated 27 mpg on the highway in 2WD configuration.
With such powerful engines on offer, as well as sharing the GM T1 platform with the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Sierra pickup trucks, the 2023 GMC Yukon can more than handle the tough work. The 5.3L V8 engine in rear-wheel drive configuration gives a maximum estimated towing capacity of up to 7,900 lbs when properly equipped.
The 2023 GMC Yukon has a multitude of creature comforts and luxury options available across its stacked feature list. SLT trims include heated front seats, a power liftgate, and leather upholstery, while the SLT Luxury Package adds a heated steering wheel and heated outboard second-row seats. However, for maximum style and comfort, you'll want the Denali Ultimate trim, which includes massaging front seats, enhanced interior trim and leather upholstery, a rear-seat entertainment system with 12.6-inch screens, and an 18-speaker Bose® audio system.
If you've never owned a full-size SUV before, you might be a little intimidated at the prospect of wheeling such a big vehicle around town. No need to worry: the 2023 GMC Yukon has an extensive list of driver convenience features available for maximum peace of mind. All models feature forward collision warning and lane-keeping assist, and SLT trims upwards include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Additionally, the SLT Luxury Package adds a surround-view camera system for tight parking situations, as well as adaptive cruise control.
