A luxury sedan that stands out

Luxury sedans can look a little vanilla at times, as automakers want to avoid dramatic designs that’ll push you away. But Infiniti takes a bolder approach with the 2014 Q50, giving it a sharp design that includes numerous creases and angles to grab your eye. The Q50 also has the power to back up its good looks. The base 3.7L V6 engine delivers 328 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. Opt for the hybrid model, and you get a 3.5L V6 and an electric motor that combine for a surprising 360 hp.

5 reasons to buy the 2014 Infiniti Q50

1. Powerful engine options

The 2014 Infiniti Q50 has a pair of engine options that are sure to please your inner motorhead. It all starts with the standard 3.7L V6 that pumps 328 hp through a seven-speed automatic transmission and out to the front wheels. The hybrid model pairs up a 3.5L V6 and electric motors for 360 hp. The hybrid also includes a seven-speed automatic transmission. Sure, neither is a legit performance model, but you’ll be pleased with their sporty feel.

2. Balanced performance

The 2014 Infiniti Q50 not only does well in performance, but its EPA-estimated fuel economy numbers are sure to impress you, too. The base model rings in at 20 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined with front-wheel drive.

Optional all-wheel drive drops these numbers to 19 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined.
The hybrid model does even better at 29 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, and 31 mpg combined with front-wheel drive.
Add all-wheel drive, and the hybrid’s mileage dips to 28 mpg city, 34 mpg highway, and 30 mpg combined.

3. Beautiful inside and out

You’re sure to find plenty of pleasure in just looking at the 2014 Infiniti Q50. With its sharp body lines, clean angles, and swooping silhouette, the 2014 Infiniti Q50 stands out on the road without taking its design language too far. This impressive styling continues inside, where Infiniti focuses on a clean setup with minimal visual distractions and high-end materials, such as real wood and aluminum accents.

4. Intuitive infotainment system

Luxury cars often feature difficult-to-use infotainment systems. Infiniti’s InTouch infotainment system is not part of that group. It’s quite advanced with an eight- and seven-inch dual-screen setup, but the interface is logical and easy to use. Plus, if you’re uncomfortable with the touchscreen controls, there are buttons too.

5. Premium features

As a luxury sedan, you likely have some features you expect to see in the 2014 Q50. This sedan will check most of your boxes with its long list of standard features, including InTouch infotainment system, power front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and more. You also have numerous packages and options to dress the luxury sedan up further.
