2015 Infiniti Q50 review

1. Two powerful engines 

The 2015 Infiniti Q50 gives you the option of two surprisingly powerful engine options, and each is eager to please. The base Infiniti Q50 rolls with a 3.7L V6 that ships 328 hp through a seven-speed automatic transmission and out to the front wheels. Opt for the hybrid model, and you’ll get a 3.5L V6 and electric motor that combine for 360 hp. The hybrid also includes a seven-speed automatic transmission. You can also equip either model with all-wheel drive for added grip in slippery conditions.  

2. Balanced performance 

The 2015 Infiniti Q50 is a strong performer despite not being a legitimate performance sedan. On top of that, its EPA-estimated fuel economy numbers will definitely please. The base Q50 with the 3.7L V6 and front-wheel drive delivers 20 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined.

Optional all-wheel drive drops these numbers to 19 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined.Opt for the hybrid model, which pushes these numbers to 29 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, and 31 mpg combined with front-wheel drive. Add all-wheel drive, and the hybrid’s mileage dips to 28 mpg city, 34 mpg highway, and 30 mpg combined.

3. Eye-pleasing inside and out 

You want to enjoy looking at the vehicle you drive, and the 2015 Infiniti Q50 will surely please you with its looks. On the outside, the Q50 boasts sharp body lines, clean angles, and a swooping silhouette that give it a standout look without being too over the top. Inside, Infiniti continues to impress with the Q50’s clean design, which has minimal visual distractions and plenty of premium materials, such as real wood and aluminum accents.  

4. Easy-to-use infotainment system 

You want the latest technology but you don’t want a finicky, hard-to-use infotainment system. Infiniti’s InTouch infotainment system will please you with its simplicity. Yes, it features a dual-screen setup with an eight-inch upper screen and a seven-inch lower screen setup, which may initially seem overwhelming. Fortunately, the looks are deceiving, as the InTouch interface is logical and easy to use. You also have the option to use the redundant hard buttons if you’re not up for a touchscreen.
