The base model of the 2018 Jaguar F-Type is packed with lots of tech and convenience equipment, so you don’t have to look for an upgraded trim to get your desired features. That means you get features like automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, power front seats, and driver seat memory setting. Plus, you can keep the music streaming through the standard 12-speaker Meridian® sound system, Bluetooth® connectivity and an eight-inch touchscreen.

Whether you want to enjoy the open air or a bit of extra performance, the 2018 Jaguar F-Type is available as a coupe or convertible. For example, it only takes 12 seconds for the soft roof to fold down at the press of a button. Plus, the hard-top coupe has several available roof styles, including a panoramic sunroof or carbon fiber hard top. 

3. Three impressive engine options 

From four cylinders up to eight, the three engine options in a 2018 Jaguar F-Type pack a punch. To start, a 296-hp 2.0 L turbocharged four-cylinder engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Or, upgrade to a supercharged 3.0 L V6 engine that makes either 340 or 380 horsepower. Finally, the supercharged 5.0 L V8 in the performance trims delivers 550 or 575 horsepower, depending on the trim. 

4. Max performance SVR 

Unleash a 2018 Jaguar F-Type's full potential and look for the F-Type SVR. In addition to adding carbon fiber accents and a body kit, the SVR model includes adaptive suspension, AWD, a limited-slip differential, and a 575-hp supercharged V8 engine. All those changes turn the 2018 Jaguar F-Type SVR into a high-performance coupe that gets a zero to 60 time of just 3.5 seconds (when new) and happily takes on corners. 

5. Available suite of driver assists 

If you want to add modern driver tech to the 2018 Jaguar F-Type, find one with the Driver Package. That’s because the Driver Package adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane keep assist, and traffic sign recognition.
