2017 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque review

1. Off-road technology and design 

All of Land Rover’s products are capable off-road, and the 2017 Range Rover Evoque is no exception. If you spend a lot of time on trails, you’ll be thrilled to leverage Land Rover’s Terrain Response^® technology. This system tailors the engine and transmission to maximize grip on a variety of surfaces, including mud and snow. The Range Rover Evoque is also designed to handle tight approach and departure angles and can wade in over 19.6 inches of water.  

2. 240 Horsepower from a 2.0L turbo 

Although only one engine is offered, you are unlikely to feel wanting for power with the 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder under the hood of the 2017 Evoque. This engine produces 240 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. When combined with the standard nine-speed automatic transmission, the Evoque is capable of reaching 60 mph in as little as 7.1 seconds in the four-door configuration, making passing maneuvers a breeze. 

3. Countless configurations 

Regardless of what color, wheel design, or body style you seek, you are likely to find it in the Evoque. The Evoque is available in a two-door, four-door, or convertible configuration. There are 18 exterior colors offered across the lineup, in addition to 11 wheel designs and five interior colors. You are unlikely to see an Evoque that is exactly the same as yours, helping you stand out from the crowd.  

4. Available Meridian^™ sound 

If you are a big music fan, you likely are looking for a premium audio system in your next ride. The 2017 Evoque has you covered with two systems by Meridian. The optional 380W system features 10 speakers and a dual-channel subwoofer. If that is not enough for you, there’s a Meridian Digital Surround Sound System, which produces 825W through 16 speakers and a dual channel subwoofer on five-door models.  

5. Available panoramic roof  

The Evoque is available with a full-glass, fixed panoramic roof to enhance the interior space and provide natural light to the cabin. As an added perk, the glass is toughened and has a dark tint to ensure that the interior of your Evoque remains comfortable. If needed, there’s also a powered blind to block the sun on those hot days.
