1. Fun, responsive driving experience 

Are you seeking a compact car that is fun, responsive, and looks great? Look no further. The 2020 Toyota Corolla Hatchback is powered by a 2.0L 169-hp engine, with 151 ft-lbs. of torque. Base models have a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment, though a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is optional.  

2. Sporty exterior and interior designs 

The base 2020 Corolla Hatchback SE, XSE, and SE Nightshade models all have a sleek, sporty body styling that is lower to the ground, wider, and more aggressive than previous years' models. Their interiors are roomier than you would expect up front, while the rear seats are best suited for children or adults under six feet. Sporty cloth seats are standard in the SE trim levels, while the XSE model offers leather seat trim as standard.

Yet the 2020 Toyota Corolla Hatchback is like many other compacts in its class in that there is sufficient legroom and head clearance in the back for a six-footer for a short trip, yet they wouldn't be comfortable if you took them on a longer journey. This vehicle is better suited for young children in the back, or for folding down the seats to accommodate luggage, groceries, or sporting equipment. There are 42 inches of leg room in the front seat and just less than 30 inches of leg room for back seat passengers.
