The 2018 BMW M6 is a tuned-up version of the BMW 6 series and is available with both two and four doors. It's also available as a convertible. The M6's sporty styling is matched by its performance, sprinting from 0-60 mph in as little as 4 seconds. If that’s not enough, the Competition package provides the sports car with more than 600 horsepower and the Executive package adds creature comforts like a heated steering wheel and massaging front seats.
It's a project in excess, delivering raw power paired with a luxurious interior and smooth ride. The M6 gives more power than you need, but it does so in such a satisfying way that wanting it is perfectly understandable. Apple CarPlay® is an optional feature and Android Auto™ is not yet supported. The M6 includes some standard driving aids like adaptive cruise control and a rearview camera; aids like blind-spot warning and front collision are optional. If all that isn't enough, the M6 Competition adds another 40 horsepower and carbon ceramic brakes for improved stopping power.
Performance: The numbers speak for themselves. The M6 delivers more than 600 horsepower and it does so in a joyful manner, with an exhilarating exhaust note to match. Its suspension is tuned well, helping soften bumps on rough roads.
Comfort: That adaptive suspension also makes for a smooth, comfortable ride. The front seats are plush and are easy to adjust so you can find a seating position that works for you.
Tech: The BMW iDrive system is intuitive and easy to use, and the M6 has a good mixture of physical and touchscreen controls. A navigation system comes standard, as does Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™; and the included sound system is impressive.
Utility: The back seat is cramped and offers little head or leg room. Similarly, you won't find much storage space for bags or luggage on the M6. It offers just 12 cubic feet of trunk space, limiting its utility.
