Interior details

The 2020 Chevrolet Spark has a surprisingly spacious interior, offering 94.1 cubic feet of passenger volume and seating for up to five. With the rear seats folded, you can make use of all 27.2 cubic feet of cargo space for larger objects. Accent colors like Caribbean Blue and Orange Burst add personality to the leatherette seats of ACTIV and 2LT trims.

Child seat details

There are two sets of upper and lower LATCH anchor sets on the outside rear seats of the 2020 Chevrolet Spark, so you can fit two child seats in the vehicle. The LATCH anchors are reasonably easy to access and attach connectors, making child seat installation straightforward. Note that rear anchors are in a hard-to-find location along the back seats. Also, lower anchors are deep into the seats, requiring more pressure to connect latches.

Performance

The 2020 Chevrolet Spark is powered by a 98-hp 1.4L four-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission or an available CVT. This engine with the manual transmission helps the 2020 Spark get an EPA-estimated 33 mpg combined.

The 2020 Spark five-speed manual model can go from zero to 60 mph in 10.5 seconds (according to the manufacturer, when new). Ideal for commuting around tight city centers and urban neighborhoods, the CVT makes the most of the 94 lb-ft of torque.

Year comparison

2013-2015 Chevrolet Spark (first generation)

Bubbling with personality, the 2013-2015 Chevrolet Spark has a 1.2L four-cylinder engine and five-speed manual transmission or optional CVT. In addition, connected technology like OnStar and an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot are standard on the first-generation Spark.1 A seven-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth® integration, and cruise control can be found on 1LT models, and leatherette seating is available in the top 2LT trim.

2016-present Chevrolet Spark (second generation)

A 1.4L four-cylinder engine replaces the original 1.2L engine for the second-generation Spark. There are now four trims to choose from, with the addition of the ACTIV trim just below the top-end 2LT.
