The Ford F-150 is one of the most popular vehicles in the country, and there's a good reason for that. Ford has been continually updating its full-size truck for several decades. Check out the 2014 F-150, and you'll find nine trim levels with a mix of regular cab, SuperCab, and SuperCrew body styles. Each gives you a bit more interior space and a mix of bed sizes. Regular and SuperCabs can be found with either a 6.5-foot or eight-foot cargo bed, while SuperCrews can be had with 6.5-foot or 5.5-foot beds. The 2014 F-150 gets a standard V6 with optional twin-turbo V6 and two V8 engines to choose from.
1. Tons of engine choices
You can start with a standard 3.7L V6 engine that produces a solid 302 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. If you need more power, optional engines include a 5.0L V8 that bumps output to 360 hp and 380 lb-ft. There is also a twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine rated at 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, plus a 6.2-liter V8 engine making 411 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque.
Trim options go from relatively basic to luxurious. At the entry level are the base XL and sporty STX. Check out the XLT, which is well-equipped, or the rugged FX2 and FX4 models in the middle of the range. At the top of the trim pyramid, check out the Lariat, the western-themed King Ranch, the incredible off-road Raptor, and the max-luxury Platinum and Limited variants. There is definitely something for everyone.
The 2014 F-150 has a variety of interior layouts to choose from. The base regular cab has seating for three across the front bench, but if you want more space, check out the SuperCab and CrewCab. Both have seating for six passengers, and the SuperCab has 33.3 inches of rear legroom, while the SuperCrew expands that to an impressive 43.5 inches.
Your next weekend outing could be much more fun with a great towing rig. The 2014 F-150 has a variety of towing ratings depending on engine and trim level. The V6 with rear-wheel-drive has a max towing capacity of 8,300 pounds when properly equipped. At the top of the range, a 5.0L V8-equipped F-150 can tow up to 11,300 pounds when properly equipped.

The fun western-themed King Ranch has luxuries like ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a power-adjustable steering wheel, while the Platinum has upgraded leather, a really lovely standard wood and leather-trimmed steering wheel as well as a sunroof.
