If you’re looking for a small car with a big personality that can handle anything life throws at you, the 2017 Honda Fit offers all that and more. With versatile cargo space, lots of passenger room, and notable fuel economy, the Fit fits your life from city commuting to weekend excursions and everything in between. Essentially unchanged from the previous year, the 2017 Fit boasts the same luxurious feeling interior, helpful driver information technology, and a long list of standard equipment. The only additions for 2017 were a new silver paint shade and a rear spoiler as a standard feature to boost handling.
1. Suited for the city
You can squeeze into parking spaces and zip around congestion in this nimble subcompact. Excellent visibility and driver assistance tech like the available LaneWatch™ blind-spot display helps you confidently slog through traffic. If you like shifting, the available six-speed manual transmission gives you more connection to the car. However, the available automatic transmission might make your commute easier as you keep up with the traffic flow.
If you like gadgets, the entry-level LX model is well equipped with full power accessories, Bluetooth® phone and audio connectivity, a five-inch display screen, a rearview camera, a four-speaker CD player sound system, an auxiliary audio jack, and a USB port. For more tech, the EX model adds a seven-inch touchscreen display, an upgraded rearview camera, Siri® Eyes Free functionality for enhanced iPhone voice control, and HondaLink® smartphone app integration
Whether you carry lots of people or stuff, the Fit has you covered. The front seats have supportive bolsters to hold you and your passenger in place. Meanwhile, the rear seat is comfortable for two adults. The Fit offers 53 cu-ft of cargo space for your stuff with the rear seats folded. The front passenger seat also folds flat, allowing you to pack items nearly eight feet long. But wait, there’s more—the Magic Seat. You’ll be astonished at this neat trick. You can fold the rear seat upwards vertically, revealing a floor-to-ceiling storage space suitable for a bicycle or maybe a Great Dane.
You’ll have more peace of mind on the road with the Fit’s advanced driver aids. The available Motion-Adaptive Electric Power Steering helps keep the fit from sliding from where you intended it to go. If it senses the car sliding, it prompts the driver to take corrective action. With the available LaneWatch™ blind-spot display, you push a button or turn on the right turn signal to get a view of the right side of the car via the infotainment display.
