5 reasons to buy the 2017 Jaguar XE

1. Powerful gasoline engines

2017 Jaguar XE Review: RTB #1 | CarMax

The 2017 Jaguar XE offers a duo of potent gasoline engines to suit your need for power and performance. The 2017 Jaguar XE 25t comes standard as the base engine in the XE, Premium, and Prestige trims and includes a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder with 240 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque. For livelier acceleration, check out the 2017 Jaguar XE 35t, which is available in the Premium and Prestige trims or standard in the R-Sport. Using a 3.0L supercharged V6 with 340 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, the 35t can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds (according to the manufacturer, when new). Both the 2017 Jaguar XE 25t and 35t connect to a refined eight-speed automatic transmission and the 35t is also offered with available all-wheel drive.

2. Available turbodiesel

2017 Jaguar XE Review: RTB #2 | CarMax

If you're looking for a luxury sedan with fuel-sipping performance, consider the 2017 Jaguar XE 20d. Available in all trims, this 180 hp 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder diesel produces 318 lb-ft of torque and returns an EPA-estimated 32 mpg city and 42 mpg highway with front-wheel drive.

Opting for all-wheel drive won't cause pain at the pumps with an EPA-estimated 30 mpg city and 40 mpg highway with the 2.0L turbodiesel.
The diesel powertrain is swift, too, reaching 60 mph from zero in 7.5 seconds with all-wheel drive (according to the manufacturer, when new).

3. Sharp handling

2017 Jaguar XE Review: RTB #3 | CarMax

One of the 2017 Jaguar XE's greatest strengths is its excellent handling. Whether leaning into corners or cruising over uneven pavement, this luxury sedan remains confident and composed with its agile and well-balanced ride. All 2017 models come standard with Jaguar Drive Control, which includes normal, eco, and dynamic modes, as well as rain, ice, and snow mode, allowing you to customize your drive to suit the conditions or your desired performance. An optional Adaptive Dynamics system can also be added to Prestige and higher trims for more responsive handling, whether driving on the highway, cornering on country roads, or navigating through city streets.

4. Elegant cabin

2017 Jaguar XE Review: RTB #4 | CarMax

If you prefer to commute in the lap of luxury, the 2017 Jaguar XE's cabin delivers a premium on-road experience. You'll have your choice between leatherette upholstery in three eye-catching colors (XE and Premium trims) or supple leather seat trimming in seven sophisticated hues (Prestige and R-Sport trims). The front driver and passenger seats offer 10-way power adjustments for customized comfort, while the standard infrared-reflective front windshield glass helps to keep the sedan cool on hot days. A Meridian 11-speaker sound system fills the cabin with luscious sound in Premium, Prestige, and R-Sport trims. With 15.9 cu ft of trunk volume, you'll have plenty of room for golf clubs and groceries, too.

5. Connected touch

2017 Jaguar XE Review: RTB #5 | CarMax

Stay connected on the go with the 2017 XE's standard Jaguar InControl Touch infotainment system, which features a large eight-inch display that uses touch and swipe gestures. Bluetooth® phone connectivity is also standard in all models, along with USB and AUX connections to easily access your music. You can even respond to incoming texts from your smartphone with short, prepared messages using the integrated text-to-voice system. For turn-by-turn voice guidance and 3D maps, an optional InControl Touch SD Navigation system is available in all 2017 Jaguar XE models.
