The 2022 model features a variety of trims and even more sub-trims, ensuring the perfect line-up for any adventurer searching for their ideal vehicle. Sport:
Includes 3.6L V6 engine, 17-inch wheels, tow hooks, soft top, five-inch touch screen, Bluetooth, push-button start, rearview camera, and halogen headlights.
Willys Sport:
Adds rear limited-slip differential, side steps, and Willys hood decals.
Sport S:
Adds keyless entry and power windows, and makes the seven-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and air conditioning standard two-door features.
Willys:
Combines Willys Sport and Sport S standard features, as well as adding the Xtreme Recon package.
Sahara:

5 reasons to buy the 2022 Jeep Wrangler
1. Off-road icon
The Jeep Wrangler has always been a powerful presence among off-roaders. Its iconic look is right at home among mountains, trees, and trails of all types. Even the base 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sport trim features the four-wheel drive capability all Wranglers are known for, as well as skid plates, high- and low-range gearing, and 9.7-inches of ground clearance. The Rubicon trim handles tough terrain better than all the others and can be found with the optional Xtreme Recon package. It gains 13-inches of ground clearance, heavy-duty Fox shocks, and other benefits that prepare this vehicle for anything the great outdoors throws at it.

The 2022 Jeep Wrangler comes with several engine types, depending on the trim. The base engine—available for the Sport, Sport S, Willys, Willy Sport, and Rubicon trims—is a powerful 3.6L V6 with 285 hp, which is available either as a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic engine. Unlimited sub-trims for each of these come with a 2.0L automatic turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 270 hp, while the Rubicon 392 comes with an extremely powerful 6.4L V8 boasting 470 hp.

You might expect a highly practical, rugged vehicle to only have the most basic colors available, but Jeep has anticipated that many drivers still like to express themselves through their vehicle even while adventuring. Standard colors for the 2022 Jeep Wrangler include classics like Black, Granite Crystal Metallic, Bright White, and Sting-Gray, but also exciting brights like Firecracker Red, Hydro Blue, Sarge, and the delightfully named Snazzberry.

Jeep has also not overlooked the importance of entertainment and fun gadgets in the 2022 model. The base Sport, Sport S, Willys, and Wills Sport trims come with a five-inch touch screen with Jeep's own Uconnect® infotainment system, as well as Bluetooth® connectivity and USB ports. Unlimited sub-trims offer a seven-inch version of this screen, plus navigation, while the Sahara boosts the screen to 8.4-inches. The two larger systems offer integration with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

The 2022 Jeep Wrangler can connect you to the elements around you through the removal of the roof, doors, and even windows. The standard water-tight soft top can easily fold back to let the sunshine in and the modular hardtop, which comes with the Sahara and Rubicon trims, separates seamlessly into three pieces. Half-doors are also available—in fact, the doors can be removed entirely, and even the windshield can be taken down and securely attached to the hood. There's nothing to separate you from the world around you when you want to feel the wind in your hair.

Altitude is a sub-trim of the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport and Unlimited Sahara models. The Altitude versions of these trims add some extra style, including a black interior color scheme and black exterior detailing that contrasts with the body for a cooler, more aggressive vibe.
The base exterior color selection for the 2022 Jeep Wrangler features Black, Bright White, Snazzberry, Sting-Gray, Firecracker Red, Hydro Blue, Granite Crystal Metallic, and Sarge.
The only major difference between the 2021 Jeep Wrangler and the 2022 Jeep Wrangler is that 2022 increased the availability of the Xtreme Recon package to include the Willys trim.

Unsurprisingly for a vehicle like the Jeep Wrangler, the 2022 model is as angular-yet-attractive on the inside as it is on the outside. The styling is bold and comprised of solid, sturdy materials. The lower trims rely on hard plastics as standard, but sophisticated leather upholstery is available as an added option. Leather trim becomes standard for the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392.
Cargo volume for the base 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sport is 31.7 cu-ft with the rear seats folded. Unlimited versions of each Jeep Wrangler trim have significantly more cargo space; the Unlimited Sport offers 72.4 cu-ft with the rear seats folded. Two-door models of the 2022 Jeep Wrangler have four seats, while the four-door Unlimited versions have five seats.

The base engine for the 2022 Jeep Wrangler is a 3.6L V6 engine with 285 hp, which can be paired with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. This is the only engine with a manual option—the others offer automatic as standard.
There's also a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 270 hp for the Unlimited version of each trim. The 6.4L V8 with 470 hp is exclusive to the Rubicon 382 trim and enables the vehicle to achieve zero to 60 in 4.5 seconds.

2006–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK (Third Generation)
The third generation—officially called the JK generation—of the Jeep Wrangler introduced a four-door version for the first time, as well as a refreshed look. The iconic seven-slat grille from the original Willys model was added to each trim, and the appearance of the Wrangler was generally made smoother yet still rugged.
Inside there was a new dashboard design and all the same perks—including removable roof and doors—as before. By 2013, Jeep introduced easily adjustable seats for additional comfort, and a 10th anniversary Rubicon was released with additional off-road features.
In 2016, the Black Bear trim was introduced, and in 2017 Jeep added optional luxuries like heated seats and available remote start.
2018–2022 Jeep Wrangler JL (Fourth Generation)
The JL generation received a full redesign, including features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, as well as new interiors. Later, in 2019, modern technologies like adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning became available. In 2021, the Rubicon 392 trim and 4xe plug-in hybrid sub-trim were also introduced.
