2022 Audi S5 comes in different styles for different kinds of buyers
The 2022 Audi S5 is not only luxurious and powerful, it’s also offered in a wide range of body styles that include a two-door coupe, convertible (Cabriolet), and four-door hatchback (Sportback). The coupe and convertible have seating for four, while the Sportback has space for five and a conveniently large trunk. In terms of pricing and horsepower, the S5 is positioned above the regular A5 lineup and below the mighty RS 5 performance model. The S5 is available in three trims: Premium, Premium Plus, Prestige.
Under the hood is a 349-hp turbocharged V6 paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s all-wheel drive. Acceleration is strong and the suspension delivers a superb balance of agility and everyday comfort. The cabin is filled with quality trim pieces and every control is within easy reach of the driver. A 10.1-inch touchscreen in the center of the dash is intuitive and attractive, and the menus are simple to navigate while the graphics are crisp and clear.
Key competitors to the Audi S5 include the BMW 4 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

What We Like
Performance: Sitting above the regular A5 and below the outrageous RS 5, the 349-horsepower turbocharged V6 provides just the right amount of power and performance. Swift but not scary fast, the S5 perfectly balances speed and comfort.
Interior: No matter if you choose the coupe, convertible, or four-door hatchback, every version of the S5 has an interior that feels extremely well built. The materials are of superb quality and the front seats provide excellent support.
All-wheel drive: Having Audi’s all-wheel-drive hardware as standard equipment means the S5 maintains its easy-to-drive composure when driving conditions are slick and slippery.
What Needs Improvement
Driver-assist features: If you want driver-assist features like blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning, you’ll have to jump to the midrange Premium Plus trim. The lineup of standard driver-assist items is too sparse for a car at this price point.
