2021 Audi S5 review

1. Upscale and well-designed cabin 

Starting with the interior, the 2021 Audi S5 has a nice, ergonomic cabin with premium materials and a thoroughly thought-out layout for optimal comfort. It comes standard with a combined upholstery that includes leather and faux suede, along with heated, power-adjustable front seats, and a panoramic sunroof, among other things. On top of that, there is standard LED ambient lighting and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. 

2. Ferocious engine 

Moving on to the performance part of the whole package, the most noteworthy detail of the 2021 Audi S5 is its engine. It’s powered by a turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, for an output of 349 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. This is a potent powertrain that delivers a 4.8-second zero-to-60-mph time, in true sports-car fashion. 

3. Standard quattro^® all-wheel drive 

Another important piece of the performance puzzle for the 2021 Audi S5 is the all-wheel drive that comes standard. It’s Audi's quattro system, which has been a staple in high-performance models for decades. It offers improved traction and control when accelerating and taking tight corners, especially at high speeds. It achieves this by distributing the engine’s power to all four wheels in a 60:40 ratio in favor of the front wheels while making sure to deliver it where it’s most needed when the car starts to lose grip.

When it comes to ride experience, the 2021 Audi S5 has what it takes to make it as enjoyable as possible. It’s equipped with all kinds of connectivity and entertainment features that are there to make sure there is never a dull moment for any passenger. There is the standard infotainment system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay^® and Android Auto^™ integration, on top of voice recognition and tri-zone automatic climate control. What’s more, it comes standard with satellite radio, Bluetooth^® connectivity, and a ten-speaker stereo system. 

5. Wide array of driver-assistance systems 

In addition to the infotainment technology, the 2021 Audi S5 comes with numerous features aimed at assisting the driver when it comes to handling tricky situations and making it easier to maintain control of the car in general. For instance, there is a forward collision warning system and forward automatic emergency braking system. Also standard are lane-departure warning, pedestrian detection, and automatic high-beam headlights.
