The 2022 Sorento Hybrid is a great three-row family hauler packed with a ton of features and options. It is powered by a turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor. The system produces a combined 227 horsepower, and you also get a standard six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive is standard, and all-wheel-drive is now optional for the 2022 model year. You have two trim levels to choose from, the S and the EX. Both come with a surprising number of standard features and options.
Check out the 2022 Sorento Hybrid, and you'll find a great standard engine. Both trim levels get a turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to produce a combined 227 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. That is good for a pretty impressive EPA-estimated 37 mpg combined city/highway.
You'll be pretty impressed with the base 2022 Sorento Hybrid S trim. It has standard features like simulated leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power driver's seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, LED headlights, and roof rails. Add a host of standard technology, and you've found yourself a fantastic daily driver.
Your next trip to the store will be easier in a 2022 Sorento Hybrid. Behind the third row, there is 12.6 cu-ft of space. It has a cool sliding and reclining second row, which means you have between 38.5 and 45 cu-ft of space with the third row folded. So, even with passengers in the first two rows, there is a lot of room. If you drop all the rear seats, you'll get a total of 75.5 cu-ft of space with the two rear rows folded.
If you are looking for the latest technology, the base 2022 S trim is pretty solid. It starts with a 10.25-inch touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration and a six-speaker audio system. It also has a host of standard driver aids like blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, parking sensors, a lane-keeping system, forward collision mitigation, and driver attention warning.
The base S trim is great, but you should definitely take a test drive in the EX trim. For 2022, it gets great exterior upgrades like LED foglights and cool black exterior trim. On the inside, you'll find a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and driver aids like adaptive cruise control, front parking sensors, and enhanced forward collision mitigation.
