Do-it-all hybrid SUV

The combination of a three-row SUV and hybrid power is a recipe for an excellent family mobile. The 2023 Sorento Hybrid has a 1.6L four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor that is good for a combined 227 horsepower. For 2023, the base S trim is no longer available, with the incredibly well-equipped EX becoming the base trim. Kia added a new top-spec SX Prestige trim level with a ton of comfort and convenience features. So, you will be pretty impressed no matter which 2023 Sorento Hybrid you go with.

5 reasons to buy the 2023 Kia Sorento Hybrid

1. Versatile interior

The 2023 Sorento Hybrid seats six with three rows of seats. Behind the third row, there is 12.6 cu-ft of space, and with that row folded, the space increases significantly. Because of the sliding and reclining second row, you have between 38.5 and 45 cu-ft of space. If you fold both sets of rear seats, you'll get a total of 75.5 cu-ft of space.

2. Lots of standard features

The Sorento Hybrid gets a great list of standard features for 2023. Start with interior features like synthetic leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Add exterior stuff like LED headlights and foglights, a hands-free liftgate, and 17-inch wheels, and you've got quite an addition to your driveway.

3. Great powertrain

The 2023 Sorento Hybrid has a standard turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder engine paired with a hybrid system across all trim levels. The combined output is 227 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, and front-wheel drive is standard. All-wheel drive is an option on the EX and standard on the SX Prestige. All that is good for an EPA-estimated 37 mpg combined city/highway in the front-wheel-drive version (34 combined with all-wheel-drive).

4. Standard technology too

The EX gets a great 10.25-inch touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto smartphone integration, navigation, and a six-speaker audio system. Just about all of the driver aides on the 2023 Sorento Hybrid are standard on the EX. Only the blind spot camera and 360-camera system are optional if you go with the SX-Prestige, which also has a digital instrument cluster and a Bose® premium audio system.

5. Luxury options

You have to check out the 2023 Sorento Hybrid SX Prestige. It has a long name, but it also has a long list of standard comfort and convenience features. Exterior upgrades include power-folding side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and LED taillights. The interior gets leather upholstery with ventilated front seats, more power adjustments for the front seats vs. the EX, and a heated steering wheel. There are some great standalone options for the Sorento Hybrid, like a panoramic sunroof and a rear seat entertainment system.
