5 reasons to buy the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Velar

1. Well-equipped base model

Opt for the base Velar S trim and you might be in for a pleasant surprise. It's well-equipped with great standard features like leather upholstery, a 14-way adjustable heated driver's seat, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto connectivity, and a 12-speaker Meridian® premium sound system. So if you are looking for a place to start on your vehicle shopping trip, the Velar should be on your test drive list.

2. Powerful engine options

If the standard 247-horsepower 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder isn't quite enough for you, check out the optional inline six-cylinder options. Take a look at the S and R-Dynamic trim levels which both have an optional 3.0L turbocharged six-cylinder making 335 hp. If you want more, you can get an impressive 395-horsepower mild-hybrid engine — exclusively in the HSE trim — that will hit 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds (according to the manufacturer, when new).

3. Off-road capability

You'll get standard all-wheel drive across all 2022 Velar trim levels, which is great when the weather gets a bit messy. The 2022 Velar also gets standard All Terrain Progress Control, which is a pretty cool cruise control system that works off-road. If you want more capability when you leave the paved road, check out the optional upgraded Terrain Response 2 off-road driving system that will let you set your driving mode depending on the situation or terrain.

4. Standard driver aids

Standard all-wheel-drive is only the beginning. All 2022 Velar trim levels get a suite of driver aids to help you tackle whatever life throws at you. In addition to front and rear parking sensors, the Velar has standard automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and a blind spot intervention that steps in to help you avoid nearby traffic out on the highway. You'll have a great piece of mind hauling your family around in the 2022 Velar.

5. Top-spec HSE trim

If you want the top-of-the-range version, check out the 2022 Velar HSE. Not only does it have the largest 3.0L engine as standard, it also comes with standard air suspension to iron out the bumps, upgraded 21-inch wheels, perforated leather upholstery, 20-way adjustable front seats, and a 17-speaker Meridian audio system. All that is sure to make you remember your first drive in the 2022 Velar HSE.
