Seven-passenger SUV

If you need the interior space of a van but love the look of an SUV, browse the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder. This ride easily accommodates seven passengers thanks to the third-row seating. If you require space for cargo, not people, the back two rows of seats fold flat to open up 79.8 cu-ft of storage for hauling boxes, kennels, or work supplies. There are four trims to consider and two engine options. New for 2015, the Nissan Pathfinder has added more driver-assist features on upper trim levels.

All Nissan Pathfinder years

What is new for the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder?

  • Pathfinder trims have been upgraded with Blind Spot Monitor and Satellite Radio Ready as standard equipment this year.
  • Panoramic Sunroof features are now available as options on select trims.
  • The SV trim now comes with Remote Start as standard equipment.

5 reasons to buy the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder

1. A smooth, powerful ride

Under the hood of all four trim options (S, SV, SL, and Platinum) of the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder you'll discover a 3.5L V6 and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) paired with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The suspension system soaks up bumps to offer a cozy ride for families with sleepy babies in car seats. The steering feels precise, but for new drivers of SUVs, handling a larger vehicle can take a moment to get used to. Soon you'll be daydreaming of road trips where you can make the most of your new-to-you SUV.

2. A versatile vehicle

In addition to hauling people and making room for loads of cargo, the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder can also tow a small trailer. Whether you make daily drives with a construction business trailer, have farm animal pets to take to the fair, or like to travel with a few snowmobiles on a winter vacation, this SUV can accept your challenges. The 2015 Nissan Pathfinder can tow an estimated 5,000 lbs with the V6 when properly equipped.

If you choose the SL trim with the SL Tech package, you gain a tow hitch and harness.

3.  A hybrid option

Are you shopping for an SUV to fit your green-conscious lifestyle? The 2015 Nissan Pathfinder SV, SL, and Platinum trims also come in a hybrid option featuring a supercharged 2.5L four-cylinder engine mated to a 15-kilowatt electric motor and compact lithium-ion battery pack. This engine choice also has a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The towing capacity for the hybrid is an estimated 3,500 lbs when properly equipped.

4. Helpful driving features

If you're new to maneuvering a midsize SUV, you'll enjoy the many driving aids found on the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder. All trims have traction control and stability control. The SV and SL trims add rear parking sensors and a rearview camera. Get behind the wheel of an SL or Platinum trim to enjoy a blind-spot monitoring system and rear-cross traffic alerts. If visibility around the exterior of the vehicle is top of mind, the SL has an optional 360-degree camera. This specialty camera comes standard on the Platinum trim.

5. Modern technology

Choose the SV trim or higher to get the most conveniences. In the SV you get a seven-inch color display,  Bluetooth® phone connectivity, a rearview camera, an audio system with a CD player, available satellite radio, and a USB/iPod interface.

Go for an SL with the SL Tech package to get an upgraded eight-inch touchscreen display, a navigation system with voice controls, a 13-speaker Bose® audio system, and a 360-degree parking camera. Both you and the teens will enjoy these many tech features!
