The 2021 Ram ProMaster City is a compact cargo van perfect for deliveries, hauling equipment for trades, or just an active family big on adventures. Its compact size is just right for heavy traffic and busy urban centers, while the flexible cargo options let you haul everything from flowers to cement blocks. The interior is upfit-friendly for additional cargo storage or mobility modifications. With two body styles, Wagon and Cargo, the ProMaster City has the standard features in the right size for fleet, business owner, or personal use.
Vans are all about the cargo, and the ProMaster City can hold plenty for working trades or making deliveries. Open those wide-opening rear doors and you can load up the low, flat cargo area with 131.7 cu-ft of space, or about two dishwashers and all the equipment needed to install them. Put a ladder (or bikes) on the roof, with its standard 154 lb load rating. If you have a cargo or enclosed trailer, the standard 2.4L in the ProMaster City can haul it, with a maximum estimated towing capacity of 2,000 lbs when properly equipped.
The standard 2.4L four-cylinder is the only engine available for the ProMaster City. It connects to a nine-speed automatic transmission to drive the front wheels. This drivetrain is perfect for tackling steep hills or keeping up with urban traffic, clocking a zero to 30 time of 3.7 seconds when unloaded. The 2.4L can handle a maximum payload of 1890 lbs, or keep it lighter and be rewarded with an EPA-estimated 24 mpg combined.
The ProMaster City has smart features that make it a great work van. Standard independent rear suspension and rack-and-pinion power steering make it stable and nimble. Standard traction control and electronic stability control work to get you down muddy roads or sandy job sites. The standard Uconnect® five-inch screen has a standard backup camera, Bluetooth® connectivity, and optional navigation so you never deliver to the wrong house.
Optional equipment available in the Ram ProMaster City makes you faster and more efficient or lets you work later hours. Optional heated seats make deliveries in winter more comfortable, while available rear parking sensors assist with backing out of a packed parking garage. Available LED lighting in the cargo area turns it into an all-night workshop so you don’t have to leave until you get the job done.
From a single operator running a plumbing business to a fleet vehicle for deliveries, Ram understands that you will customize the ProMaster City to meet your work demands. The cargo area has nearly vertical walls for easy installation of shelving or drawers. An available partition can separate the driver from hazardous cargo like lawn chemicals or automotive detailing products, while a partition with a window is useful for a dog grooming service. Even the roof has standard fittings to accept a variety of roof storage, from ladders to cargo boxes.
