Not everyone needs an SUV — especially if you live or work in an urban area. So, if you're looking for something compact in size with room for rear-seat passengers, the 2015 Toyota Corolla might fit the bill. Even though this is an entry-level vehicle, it is well-styled and has a lot of standard features. The Corolla isn't an attention grabber, but it is a solid and comfortable sedan that will keep you from spending too much time at the gas station — unless you're just stopping for snacks.
The 2015 Toyota Corolla proves big things can come in small packages. Though this is a compact sedan, it offers a generous 41.4 inches of rear-seat legroom, which is more comparable to full-size sedans. Another big bonus: The rear "hump" in the middle is lower, which means if you do sit someone in that middle seat, they won't eat their kneecaps.
At a base level, the 2015 Toyota Corolla includes a high level of standard amenities, such as standard USB connectivity, Bluetooth® phone pairing for hands-free phone conversations and audio streaming, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, power locks, and a rear defroster. However, if you're looking for more features, look for the LE trim or above. You'll add automatic climate control, cruise control, a backup camera, and a more premium audio system with a 6.1-inch infotainment screen.
If buying less gas is a priority, you'll want to take a good look at the 2015 Toyota Corolla. The EPA estimates this compact sedan will get combined mileage between 30 mpg with on the upper trims with the 1.8L engine and four-speed automatic transmission and 34 mpg on the LE Eco models.
If you like quiet, you'll appreciate the extra lengths Toyota went to for controlling noise, vibration, and harshness in this compact sedan. It starts with an acoustic glass windshield and then moves on to include improved floor carpet insulation, fender insulators, and an inner dash silencer pad — all so that the 2015 Toyota Corolla can keep outside noises on the outside. Additionally, the Corolla uses high-tensile-strength steel, which provides a rigid platform for smooth handling.
Though 13.0 cu-ft might not seem like a lot of trunk space, it's well proportioned for the overall size of the 2015 Toyota Corolla. It's large enough to fit a set of golf clubs — without removing the driver — and the wide-opening trunk lid allows for loading larger, bulkier items. Plus, if you need more space for longer items, the rear seats fold down in a 60/40 split.
