5 reasons to buy the 2023 Toyota Tundra

1. Three powerful engine options

The 2023 Toyota Tundra has a twin-turbo 3.5L V6 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard. In its base version, it produces 348 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque, though two more potent powertrain options are available. The first is an uprated version of the V6 engine with 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. There's also an optional hybrid with a combined 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. With the hybrid powertrain, the 2023 Toyota Tundra gets an EPA-estimated 22 mpg combined fuel economy.

2. Great towing capacity

Given that it's a full-size pickup, it should come as no surprise that the 2023 Toyota Tundra has exceptional towing capabilities. With a towing capacity ranging between an estimated 8,300 lbs and 12,000 lbs when properly equipped, the Tundra can easily pull a trailer, a couple of ATVs, or a boat, just to name a few.

The maximum estimated towing capacity of 12,000 lbs applies to the SR5 trim with the extended cab, powered by the 389-hp twin-turbo 3.5L V6 engine with rear-wheel drive (when properly equipped).

3. Connectivity and infotainment tech

The 2023 Toyota Tundra is well-equipped with technology to keep your passengers connected and entertained. For starters, the base model has an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto integration. You'll also get standard Bluetooth® connectivity and three USB ports, as well as a six-speaker audio system.

4. Standard driver-assistance features

The 2023 Toyota Tundra is equipped with useful driver aids that can help you navigate various traffic situations more easily. Systems such as forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and forward automatic emergency braking are standard, as is adaptive cruise control. In addition, the 2023 Tundra has lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and a rear-seat alert.

5. Ample cargo space

When you're shopping for a pickup truck, cargo space is probably one of your top priorities. Available with three bed-length choices, the 2023 Toyota Tundra offers plenty of room for cargo, no matter which of those options you choose. The Crew Cab model is only offered with the short bed, measuring 5 ft 6 in, while the long bed (8 ft 1 in) is exclusive to the Double Cab. You can get the standard 6-ft 6-inch bed with either the Crew Cab or the Double Cab body style. The maximum payload capacity of the 2023 Toyota Tundra is an estimated 1,940 lbs.
