The 2014 Volkswagen Touareg is an interesting SUV. It’s not part of a luxury lineup, of course, but it offers many of the features luxury models do. The base 3.6L V6 engine delivers a healthy 280 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque, but the real power comes from an unexpected source: the hybrid powertrain. This hybrid setup combines a 3.0L supercharged V6 with an electric motor for 380 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque. 2. Balanced diesel option 

The 2014 Volkswagen Touareg has a third engine option slotted between the 3.6L and hybrid. This engine is a 3.0L turbodiesel V6 that delivers 240 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. This pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive to deliver a surprising 7.5-second zero-to-60 sprint time.
