2020 Volvo V60 is a versatile wagon

The 2020 Volvo V60 is one of the last vehicles of its kind: a luxury wagon. There aren't many wagons still on the market, let alone many made by a luxury brand like Volvo. For 2022 the V60 received a few tweaks to the base trim, called Momentum, and lost the option for all-wheel drive (though it’s standard on the related V60 Cross Country), but is otherwise largely unchanged. It's powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 250 horsepower, offers lots of cargo space and a spirited driving experience. It has the storage of an SUV and the driving dynamics of a sedan.

The V60 was redesigned in 2019 and benefits from a sleek exterior and elegant interior that has seating for up to five. Its infotainment is centered around a narrow, table-style touchscreen that can be a bit clunky. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are both standard but USB ports are few and far between, especially in the back seat. While large item storage is generous, there aren't many places to stow small items inside the cabin.

5 reasons to buy the 2020 Volvo V60

What We Like:

Driving: While not stupendously powerful, the V60 offers dynamic handling that you won't find on a typical SUV. Its sporty suspension makes for an engaging driving experience as does its stiff steering.

Interior: Plenty of head and legroom for both front and rear passengers, and the driver's seat is ridiculously comfortable. The materials are premium, and the cabin is a well-refined space. Getting in and out of the vehicle is also easy.

Utility: There's plenty of space behind the second row for larger items, 23 cu-ft to be exact, and more than 50 cu-ft when the back row is folded down. The second row is also roomy for installing a child seat.

What Needs Improvement

Technology: The infotainment system is good looking and features Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto as standard features, but it's a bit clunky and difficult to use. There are also no USB ports in the back row and no wireless phone charging of any kind in the vehicle.
