5 reasons to buy the 2015 Volvo V60

1. Wagon style

Volvo has a long legacy of producing practical wagons, and the 2015 V60 carries on the tradition. With sophisticated styling, it’s at home in any environment, and you’ll enjoy your time behind the wheel. With the rear seat up, there’s 20 cu-ft of cargo space at the back. Fold the 40/20/40 split rear seat to open to 43.7 cu-ft of space. Plus, the passenger seat folds flat to accommodate items nearly eight feet long. Clever available features include pop-up grocery bag holders and a roll-out dog security net to protect your good boys and girls.

2. 3 engine choices

The base model for the 2015 Volvo V60 is the V60 T5 with front-wheel drive and the all-new Drive-E four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. If you want all-wheel drive for added traction, opt for the T5 AWD with a 250-hp five-cylinder engine or the T6 R-Design with a turbocharged six-cylinder that puts out 325 hp. Both models have a six-speed automatic transmission. On the T5 Drive-E, an automatic start-stop system shuts off the engine as you come to a stop to reduce tailpipe emissions.

3. High tech drivers aids

Standard across the 2015 Volvo V60 line is Volvo’s suite of driver-assistance features, including a system that senses potential collisions and automatically brakes the car. You’ll also find antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, and multiple airbags throughout the cabin. The available Technology package adds features to help you keep the car in the right lane and alert you if you become drowsy while driving.

4. Driving fun

You might be surprised at the 2015 Volvo V60’s agile handling on highways or winding roads, thanks to good brakes and comfortable seats. Take it up a notch with the Sport package, which has a stiffer suspension and snug sports seats. The Drive-E engine on T5 front-wheel drive models delivers power smoothly, and available steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters put the car’s performance in your hands. For more brute power, the T6 R-Design with the six-cylinder engine offers a more engaging drive. The weekly grocery run could get a lot more fun.

5. Passenger comfort

The 2015 Volvo V60 interior reflects Volvo’s Swedish style with a classy, minimalist appeal. Premium materials abound, and you’ll love the comfortable, supportive seats if you drive long distances. Adult passengers may find the rear seat accommodation snug with 33.5 inches of legroom. The waterfall-style center stack contains the technology and climate controls. Using the multimedia control interface relies on buttons and a knob, so there may be a bit of a learning curve. The available Sport package includes upgraded seats with even more support for spirited driving.
